The HevMetFood Interdisciplinary Laboratory (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Heavy Metals accumulation in the food chain and modeling - https://sites.google.com/site/hevmetfood/home ) was set up in 2007 and has more than 7 years experience in training undergraduate and graduate students in advanced analytical techniques and food rheology.
The HevMetFood Interdisciplinary Laboratory aim is to provide training and to develop advanced researches in food science and the science of the total food chain in areas such as:
- Food rheology
- Food Texture analysis, viscosimetry and sensory analysis and training
- Statistical quality control
- Data mining and modeling, Risk assessment.
- Minerals in the food chain
- Quantum Dots in the food chain
- Development of analytical methods (ICP, ICP-MS-LA, XRF) for foods, feeds, environment and biofuels quality
- Training in Food texture and rheology, food sensory analysis and techniques such as ICP, ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS, XRF
