- soil density - according to STAS 1913/3-76
- Atterberg limits / plasticity limits - according to STAS 1913/3-76
- permeability - according to STAS 1913/6-76
- characteristics of compaction, by Proctor tests, according to STAS 1913-13-83
- physical and mechanical characteristics of swelling-shrinking soil - according to STAS 1913/12-88
- soil compressibility, by oedometer test - according to STAS 8942/1-89
- shear strength parameters, by direct shear test - according to STAS 8942/2-82
