Multidisciplinary Integrated Center of Dermatological Interface MIC-DIR  is an academic unit of research without legal personality, organized within the “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați, with clinical integration in the ‘St. Parascheva’ Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases Galati.


Research directions and topics of interest:

 Observations of cutaneous changes induced by external factors such as various known topical medication or experimentally induced in the project, from various extracts, with the use of water.

 Study of the mechanism of action of antimicrobial topical extracts in the context of antibiotic resistance

 Studies will be conducted and the results will be sent for publication to national/ international specialized journals in case of eloquence and concretization of measurements and experiments, especially those correlated with therapeutical value of topical preparations.

Development of entrepreneurial skills and perspectives for researchers, teachers, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, students and employees of ‘Dunarea de Jos’ University of Galati.

 Determination of the effects of natural radiant exposure factors on normal and pathological skin. Collaboration with various medical/pharmaceutical/chemistry specialties, both in the local region and national.

 Research of various topical drugs in and their anti-inflammatory role in Dermatology.

Establishment of therapeutic principles for Demodex Folliculorum based on new technologies, carrier, nanotechnology or liposomes.

 Monitoring and treatments for hair and nail disorders.

Detection of pathological changes and therapeutic effects on normal skin and in various skin conditions using dermoscopy, capillaroscopy, trichoscopy, in vivo confocal laser scanning microscopy, optical coherence tomography.

 Treatment of cutaneous xerosis found in extreme conditions in a mountain-sea-Delta area.
